Before deleting the email account containing your personal mail, contacts, and calendar data, you must create a new location for your data

Stupid error.?If you cannot remove the email address in Outlook 2016 with the error below, remove the profile instead.

1. Right click on start menu
2. Open Control Panel
3. Find/Open Mail
4. Click on Profiles
5. Remove the profile
6. Click ok and close
7. Open Mail again
8. Add a new profile
